DRC: an interministerial order sets digital taxes

Tax neutrality for digital business is officially over in the DRC. Issued under the Digital Code (Ordinance-Law 23/010), the interministerial order of 20 July 2026, signed by Augustin Kibassa Maliba (Digital Economy) and Doudou Fwamba Li-Botayi (Finance), sets the new fee schedule for digital activities carried out from or towards the country. Data centres taxed from $25,000 to $100,000 depending on their Tier, different rates for local and foreign players in cloud, Big Tech and trust services, fees for fintechs, ride-hailing and marketplaces: operators must plan ahead or face surcharges of 25% to 100% collected by the DGRAD. Discover in our carousel the full fee schedule, the advantage granted to local players and the penalties provided for.
